Hunter(Nephlim)
Hunter is the 1st boss you'll encounter in game.He is a brutal fighter and tries to engage with dante several times during the mission but he is immune to dante's physical damage(well for now). you can only damage him at the end of the mission.
He has three phases of attacking.
Phase 1: He tries to attack player with his small knife which can be easily dodged if you keep an eye on his hand movements.use "hightime" to go into the air and attack his head or you can simply jump and start attacking. Repeat the process till he fall into his knees then run towards him and use your powerful attacks till he falls down again use powerful attacks and try to damage him as much as you can.
Phase 2: In this phase he climbs top of the iron rods and tries to damage you with his iron claw.
Here
you have two options. Either shot him down with your guns and dodge
when he attacks with his iron claw or parry his attack when he tries to
attack you with his iron claw(press attack button just before it hits
you) either way when you bring him down use your powerful attacks and
damage as much as you can. Again repeat Phase 1.
Phase 3: After damaging hunter some more he creates black fog and traps you in it and throws his knife. Here you can either parry him(hit attack button just before it hits you) or simply dodge the attack 5 times and get out of that fog and start attacking him. Here Phase 1 and Phase 2 may repeat depends on how much time you are taking to damage him. Battle ends when you take out his complete health.
